June 3 (Reuters) – Nielsen Holdings B.V., the globe’s largest TV and consumer measurement company, filed with U.S. regulators to levy up to $1.75 billion in an initial public offering.

J.P. Morgan Securities and Morgan Stanley are the head underwriters, the Dutch company told the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in a precursive prospectus.

Nielsen’s top ten clients include Coca-Cola Co, NBC Universal, Nestle S.A., News Corp, Procter & Gamble Co and Unilever.

Nielsen was taken special in a $10 billion deal in 2006 by a group of six confidential equity firms — Carlyle Group, Blackstone Group, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co, Thomas H. Lee Partners, AlpInvest Partners and Hellman & Friedman.
