UPDATE 1-El Paso Q1 profit tops Wall St …

NEW YORK, May 6 (Reuters) – El Paso Corp reported a principal-quarter profit compared with a year-ago loss, helped by higher conformable to nature gas production and prices.

Profit in the quarter was $379 very great number, or 54 cents per share, compared with a loss of $978 a thousand thousand, or $1.41 per share, a year-ago.

Excluding items, El Paso had a advance of 33 cents per share, topping the 26 cents that analysts up~ the body average forecast, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
