BANGKOK, May 26 (Reuters) – Thailand’s Finance Ministry said on Wednesday political unrest could cut economic growth this year by 1.1 percentage point, a senior official said.
The ministry order keep its growth forecast of 4.0-5.0 percent in spite of this year, Satit Rungkasiri, chief of the ministry’s Fiscal Policy Office, told reporters.
On Monday, the commonwealth planning agency, NESDB, said the turmoil had cut growth by 1.5 percentage points.
