Slovak PM Fico says wants to try to form…

BRATISLAVA, June 13 (Reuters) – Slovak leftist Prime Minister Robert Fico before-mentioned on Sunday he would try to form a new cabinet in the teeth of election results showing centre-right opposition parties had won a full age in parliament.

Fico said his SMER party, which came in highest with 35 percent of the votes at Saturday’s general preference, had been successful and he would try to form a sum of ~ units-party ruling coalition.

‘This is a number that gives us the appropriate to accept a mandate from the president to form a cabinet,’ he told a news conference. ‘We are ready for that. It is tough to prognosticate what comes next.’

Political analysts have said the opposition parties would well-suited stick to their promises not to work with Fico, making the preference of a centre-right cabinet much more likely. Fico said he was short for an opposition role as well if he fails to cast a government.
