Opposition questions SA jobs pledgeThe State Opposition believes the South Australian Government direction be hard pressed to create a promised 100,000 jobs, based without ceasing the latest job advertisement figures.
The ANZ Bank figures show the reach the ~ of of newspaper job advertisements in South Australia fell 19 per cent after all the rest month, seasonally adjusted.
Opposition employment spokesman David Pisoni says it is a worrying consequence considering the Government’s jobs promise for the next six years.
“Mike Rann promised 100,000 additional jobs for South Australia and what we’re seeing now, certainly against the medium term here in South Australia, is fewer jobs in South Australia,” he declared.
“It’s no wonder when South Australia is the highest-taxed predicament in Australia, we are a state that relies on small transaction for employment growth and small businesses are suffering under Mike Rann’s ponderous tax regime.”
