HK stocks open flat; BoCom up on Q4 resu…
HONG KONG, March 31 (Reuters) – Hong Kong stocks are set to
open flat on Wednesday, as a strong performance from mainland
banks such as Bank of Communications is offset by
losses in index heavyweight Hutchison Whampoa.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index was down 0.04 percent at
21,366, pulling back from the two-week closing high hit the
previous session.
The China Enterprises Index of top locally listed
mainland Chinese stocks was up 0.37 percent at 12,460.
Bank of Communications rose 1.58 percent, while Hutchison
fell 0.88 percent.
