Abbot supports re-examine of GST carve-upTony Abbott says he is conscious of in what condition Western Australia fares in the carve-up of GST revenue.

The Premier has written to the Federal Opposition Leader speech WA’s funding share should be at least 75 cents in the dollar.

Colin Barnett says he has too discussed his concerns with the Prime Minister Julia Gillard and is prepared to deal by either leader after the election.

Mr Abbott says each state should have ~ing treated fairly and he would support a review into the whole of GST revenue that WA receives.

“The GST return of the ~erly has dropped dramatically to I think about 67 per cent from one side of to the other the last few years, so I’m very conscious of the number printed, and I would be very happy to ask the Commonwealth Grants Commission to accept another look at it should we win,” he said.
